Victoria Alysha Durgana Latortue of Fort Washington passed away on May 11, 2024, she was 31 years old. The Bachelor of Arts degree she received from New York University was in economics, political science, and middle eastern and Islamic studies. She attended New York University. In later years, Victoria was chosen to take part in the esteemed Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship Programs.
During this time, she was also pursuing her education at the Elliot School of International Affairs at George Washington University, where she was awarded a Master of Arts degree in International Security Policy Studies.
As well as French and Spanish, Victoria was fluent in Arabic and Hebrew. Her most recent position was as a Foreign Service Officer in the Office of Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Washington, District of Columbia.
She had a long and distinguished career in the diplomatic service. Prior to that, she worked as a political officer in Algeria and as a vice consul in Israel between the two countries.
At the Costello – Runyon Funeral Home, which can be found at 568 Middlesex Avenue in Metuchen, New Jersey 08840, there will be a visitation on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from four o’clock to nine o’clock. Iselin Presbyterian Church, which can be found at 1295 Oak Tree Road in Iselin, New Jersey, will be the location of the funeral ceremony that will take place on October 17, 2024, at 10:30 a.m.
