Ruby Jewel Helton Obituary, Death: Beloved Homemaker and Devoted Mother from Morehead, Kentucky, Passes Away
A sorrowful loss has befallen the community of Morehead, Kentucky, with the passing of Ruby Jewel Helton, a loving homemaker and dedicated mother. She departed this life on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Born on September 5, 1953, in Carter County, Kentucky, Ruby was the daughter of the late Harve Lennis Middleton and Vici Zelma Barker Middleton. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harvey Lennis Middleton, Jr. and Larry Gene Middleton; two sisters, Rosemary James and Kathy Gilbert; and one daughter, Tammy Rena Blevins.
Ruby is survived by her children, Kristy LaRae Ramey, Heather Reann Ramey, James Ray Blevins (Carla), and two stepdaughters, Delina Howard (Ray) and Jennifer White. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Michael Wayne Tapp, Kaylen Rae Leadingham, Rayden Eugene Leadingham, Peyton Reann Leadingham, Alexis LaRae Tapp, and Jacob Ray Blevins.
In addition to her immediate family, Ruby is survived by her brother, Danny Ray Middleton (Wilma), and six sisters, Janet Sue Puckett (Jimmy), Carrie Martha Gilbert, Darlene Hall (Al), Debra Ann Steagall (Timothy), Alberta Howard (Rob), and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Ruby was a devoted homemaker and a former employee at the Life Care Center in Morehead, Maryland. She cherished moments spent with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed watching television. Her love and affection will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Larry Hamm officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Ridge Cemetery in Carter City, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Dennis Middleton, Rob Howard, Dylan Howard, Jacob Blevins, Chris Middleton, and Phillip Sagraves.
Visitation will be held at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 12 to 2 p.m. The family requests donations in Ruby’s memory to be made to the charity of one’s choice.
