Matthew L. Scullari, 33, of Stoneham, Formerly of Wilmington, Passes Away; Leaves Behind Legacy of Kindness, Adventure, and Unwavering Sports Fandom.

Matthew L. Scullari, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at the young age of 33. Born in Boston and raised in Wilmington, Matthew was a proud alumnus of Shawsheen Technical High School, where he excelled in the carpentry department.

Matthew’s presence was always met with smiles, and he found immense joy in the company of his loved ones. He was a die-hard fan of all Boston sports teams, with a special affinity for the Celtics and Patriots. His passionate cheers and unwavering allegiance were a staple of every game.

In his quiet moments, Matthew enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, and basking in the serenity of nature by the beach or pool. He had a thirst for adventure, lived life to the fullest, and embraced each moment with enthusiasm and wonder.

Matthew’s kind disposition and golden heart won over everyone he met, leaving a legacy of treasured memories that his loved ones will always cherish. His passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, but his spirit will endure through the countless stories and memories shared by those who called him a friend.

Matthew is survived by his mother, Louise Mahoney-Scullari of Stoneham; brother, Mark Scullari of Wilmington; nephews, Anthony and Vincent Scullari of California; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

A private reception and prayer service will be held at the George L. Doherty Funeral Home in Somerville to celebrate Matthew’s life and mourn his passing. His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched, and his legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew him.

Matthew’s love for life, sports, and nature will never be forgotten. His kind heart and adventurous spirit will continue to be a blessing to all who knew him. As his loved ones say goodbye, they remember a man who lived life to the fullest and left a lasting impact on those around him.
