It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jessie Osamo Nakamura Tesalona, who died on September 9, 2024, at the age of 61. After a courageous battle with a traumatic brain tumor and a recent surgery, Jessie has now found peace, reuniting with his parents and elder brother.
A beloved member of the Springfield, VA community, Jessie was known for his infectious sense of humor and his love for kung-fu movies. He dedicated many years to the hotel industry, where he worked as a cook and server, spreading joy and laughter to all who encountered him.
Jessie’s warm spirit and dedication left a lasting impact on those around him. He is survived by his brothers, Edie and Fredie, and his sister-in-law, Myrna Tesalona. A private memorial service is planned to honor his memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a GoFundMe campaign, organized by Diane Tesalona, to help cover the costs of the service and outstanding medical expenses.
