The incident occurred last Friday afternoon at Fortson’s apartment complex situated on Racetrack Road in Fort Walton Beach.
On thursday, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office made public the bodycam footage depicting the fatal shooting involving law enforcement officers and 23-year-old Air Force Airman Roger Fortson.
The incident occurred last Friday afternoon at Fortson’s apartment complex situated on Racetrack Road in Fort Walton Beach.
In an earlier press statement, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office stated that a deputy acted in self-defense upon hearing signs of a disturbance within Fortson’s apartment and finding him armed with a gun.
