Winston Marrs Obituary, A Life Well-Lived

On December 6th, the community of St. Thomas, Ontario, bid farewell to an exceptional individual, Winston Marrs, at the age of 80. Affectionately known as Winny by friends, Winston’s journey began in Montreal, Quebec, on February 25, 1943.

Winston’s formative years were spent in Eastern Ontario, surrounded by the love of his family: his mother, Edna; his father, William; and his siblings, Mary-Ellen, Mildred, and John.

It was during this time that he encountered the love of his life, Beverly Marrs (O’Shaughnessy), whom he married in 1966 in Williamsburg. The couple later embarked on a new chapter in London, Ontario, in 1969, where they planted the roots of their own family.

Whether working to provide for his family or contributing to the betterment of his surroundings, Winston’s dedication was a testament to his character. Surrounded by his family, Winston peacefully passed away, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, love, and devotion.

His memory will be cherished by those who knew him, reflecting on a life well-lived and a man who left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
