CAITLIN TRACEY OBITUARY: MYSTERIOUS DEATH IN CHICAGO LUXURY HIGH RISE SPARKS INVESTIGATION AND FAMILY FEUD
Caitlin Tracey, a 36-year-old resident of New Buffalo, Michigan, was found dead in the staircase of a luxury high-rise building in Chicago’s South Loop last month. The circumstances surrounding her death remain unknown, with the Chicago Police Department conducting an ongoing investigation.
On October 27, a resident of the building discovered a severed foot near a railing in the east stairwell and reported it to the building manager. While responding officers were searching the premises, the manager found Tracey’s body at the bottom of the stairwell.
Tracey’s parents have obtained a temporary restraining order preventing her husband, Adam Beckerink, from obtaining her remains, citing a pattern of aggressive behavior. Court records allege that Beckerink, a tax attorney, physically and emotionally mistreated Tracey throughout their relationship.
Beckerink is currently facing two domestic violence charges in Berrien County, Michigan, for allegedly attacking Tracey. His criminal defense lawyer, Todd Pugh, stated that there is “no link” between his client and Tracey’s death.
However, Tracey’s parents argue that Beckerink’s history of abuse and the circumstances surrounding her death make him “incompetent or unsuitable” to oversee her remains and funeral arrangements. If Beckerink is criminally charged in connection with Tracey’s death, he will be automatically disqualified from doing so.
The case has sparked a complex legal battle, with Tracey’s parents seeking to protect her remains and honor her memory. As the investigation continues, the community remains on high alert, seeking justice for Caitlin Tracey and support for those affected by domestic violence.
