Dillon Duffy, 18, Missing for Over a Week, Last Seen in London, Parents Donna and Jamie Duffy Plea for His Safe Return, Frustrated by Slow Investigation
Dillon Duffy, an 18-year-old teenager from Greater Manchester, has been missing for over a week, leaving his parents, Donna and Jamie Duffy, in a state of desperation and worry. Dillon was last seen on June 18, 200 miles away from where his mother dropped him off for work, at the London Euston station. His parents are urging anyone with information to come forward and are frustrated with the slow progress of the investigation.
Donna Duffy dropped off Dillon near the Asda supermarket in Chadderton, Oldham, on Milne Street at 8 a.m. on June 18. She recounted that Dillon told her he wanted to grab a water from Asda and that was the last she saw of him. Dillon then took a train from Manchester Piccadilly to Stoke at around 3:35 p.m., before heading to London Euston station, where he was last seen on CCTV the same day.
Donna and her husband Jamie immediately started searching for Dillon and contacted the police after they discovered a note in his room, indicating that he was in a vulnerable state and feeling low. Jamie drove to London to search for Dillon, but his search was unsuccessful, and he had to return home due to his own health concerns.
The family has been searching for Dillon for eight days now, and there has been no contact, sighting, or any trace of him. Donna expressed her frustration with the Metropolitan Police’s slow progress in obtaining vital CCTV footage that could indicate Dillon’s direction. She has been emailing and phone calling lots of places, looking through all his social media, and has found no indication of any suspicious activity.
Donna and Jamie are worried for Dillon’s safety and are urging anyone with information to come forward. They have set up a Facebook page, Help Find Dillon, which has received an incredible response from social media, with many people wanting to help. The Missing People charity has also issued an urgent appeal, urging Dillon to contact them if he is safe and well.
Dillon is described as 5’9″ tall, wearing a black hooded jacket, grey cap, black tracksuit bottoms, and black and grey trainers. If you have seen Dillon, please call 101 and quote ref 01/491880/24. His parents are pleading for his safe return and are desperate for any information that could lead to his whereabouts.
In a heart-wrenching plea, Donna said, “I just want him to reach out and know that he is safe. I am going out of my mind with worry.” Jamie added, “We are very concerned for his safety, and we just want him to come home.” The family is hoping for a miracle and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
The investigation is ongoing, and the police are urging anyone with information to contact them. The family is hoping for a positive outcome and is grateful for the support they have received from social media and the public.
