Patrick C. McCarthy Obituary – Monroe County sheriff’s deputies have identified the individual who lost his life in a single-vehicle accident in Pittsford over the weekend.
Patrick C. McCarthy, aged 45 and a resident of Gates was pronounced dead at the scene on Sunday morning at the junction of Fairport Road and Interstate 490, according to sheriff’s spokesperson Brendan Hurley.
McCarthy was traveling west on Fairport Road at approximately 4:20 a.m. when he veered into the eastbound lanes, proceeded through the exit ramp that directs traffic from the westbound lanes of I-490 to Fairport Road and collided with an earth embankment situated between the ramp and the highway.
McCarthy was the sole occupant of his vehicle. “Our condolences go out to his loved ones during this challenging period,” expressed Hurley. Deputies are currently investigating the incident.
