Authorities have identified the individuals involved in the tragic incident that occurred in Coral Gables. Lusine Melikyan, aged 41, and Matthew Vincent Roll, aged 60, lost their lives in the shooting, while 20-year-old Suren Mkrtchyan survived.
The Miami-Dade Police provided this information on Friday. Coral Gables Police were alerted to the shooting at the Gables Ponce apartment building on Granello Avenue at 9:40 a.m. on Thursday.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found Melikyan and Roll deceased, and Mkrtchyan injured.
Mkrtchyan was taken to Jackson South Hospital for surgery and is currently in critical but stable condition. Investigations suggest that Roll, who was in a domestic relationship with Melikyan, was the perpetrator.
Mkrtchyan is Melikyan’s son. The incident is still being investigated, and no motive has been disclosed by the authorities.
