Keith Berger, a cherished member of the Backwater Gamblers Water Ski Team, has passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and adventure. Keith was a devoted husband, father, son, colleague, and friend, who touched the lives of everyone he met. His passion for water skiing and coaching was unmatched, and his dedication to the team was inspiring.

Keith’s journey with the Backwater Gamblers spanned 15 incredible years, during which he held various titles, including boat driver, coach, and bonfire extraordinaire.

He was a leader, a mentor, and a friend to all, and his contributions to the team went beyond his exceptional skills on the water. Keith’s love for the sport was contagious, and he inspired countless skiers to push beyond their limits and achieve their goals.

As a coach, Keith was patient, kind, and encouraging, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer words of wisdom. His passion for teaching and guiding was evident in everything he did, and his impact on the team was immeasurable. Keith’s dream was to become the lead driver of the team and eventually drive for Team USA, a goal that was within his reach, given his exceptional skills and unwavering determination.

Keith’s love for life was evident in everything he did, and his adventures beyond the ski site were legendary. He loved fixing up motorcycles, working on his boats, spending time with his family and friends, and cruising the local rivers on his pontoon boat. Keith was a loyal friend, a devoted husband and father, and a cherished colleague at John Deere. His love for the Packers and his enthusiasm for life were infectious, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The Backwater Gamblers will hold a memorial show on Sunday, June 9th, to honor Keith’s legacy and celebrate his life. The team invites everyone to deck out the stands in Green and Gold, John Deere apparel, Packers apparel, or Backwater apparel, to pay tribute to Keith’s love for life and his incredible impact on the team.

Keith Berger may be gone, but his memory will live on through the countless lives he touched, the laughter he shared, and the adventures he inspired.
