Lucy Morgan Death: NJ Girl Vacationing in Maine Killed by Broken Badminton Racket

Lucy Morgan Death – Last week, a tragic incident occurred in Maine where a 6-year-old girl named Lucy Morgan lost her life due to an unfortunate accident. While playing with her older brother, the aluminum shaft of a broken badminton racket detached from its handle and struck Lucy in the head.

The impact was severe, piercing her skull. Maine State Police reported that the incident took place on Saturday at approximately noon in Limerick, a town located west of Portland.

Immediate action was taken, and Lucy was swiftly transported from her home to a nearby hospital. Recognizing the severity of her condition, she was then airlifted to Maine Medical Center.

Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, Lucy tragically passed away on Wednesday. The police have confirmed that this was an unintentional injury and a tragic accident. In a statement, they expressed their deepest condolences to the Morgan family, who hails from Stockholm, New Jersey.

Lucy’s father, Jesse Morgan, who serves as a pastor at a church in Rockaway, New Jersey, documented her time in the hospital on his blog. He shared the heartbreaking news that after extensive testing, Lucy was declared brain dead at 1:32 am on June 5th, and her heart ceased beating around 4 am.

In his blog post, Jesse also revealed that his wife had gifted Lucy a prayer journal the previous month. Following her passing, they discovered the journal in her backpack, with the first entry expressing Lucy’s unwavering faith in God and His sacrifice on the cross for humanity’s sins.

This devastating incident serves as a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment. The community mourns the loss of Lucy Morgan, and our thoughts and prayers go out to her family during this incredibly difficult time.
