Mike Hall Baxley GA, Death: 66 year old man died at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah

Baxley resident Michael Thomas “mike” Hall, 66, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

The late John Thomas “J. T.” Hall and the late Inez Poole Hall welcomed Mike into the world on August 25, 1957, in Appling County. He worked as a supervisor at Plant Hatch for Southern Company for 32 years and was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Deen Hall of Baxley; daughter, Nicole (Adam) Smith of Baxley; three grandchildren, Tucker Tillman, Autumn Smith, and Audriana Smith; brother, Larry (Marilyn) Hall of Baxley; mother-in-law, Pat (Tom) Heath of Baxley; brother-in-law, Lamar (Lisa) Deen of Baxley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Swain Funeral Home Chapel will host funeral services for Elder Jerry Lightsey on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Danny Smith gave a eulogy, and Rev. Ron Ross officiated. Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery will be the next place of interment.

Josh Deen, Doug Hall, Corbett Bowen, Monroe Crosby, Tucker Tillman, and Tyler Avera will all be participating pallbearers.

The following former and current employees of Plant Hatch will serve as honorary pallbearers: Mickey Craven, Dale Smith, Doug Harris, Leslie Deen, Henry Branch, Randy Roberson, J. J. Vaughn, Gary Thomas, Keith Davis, Doug Harrison, Jerry Mattox, Kevin Ware, Spin Joyner, Frank Gorley, Billy Vaughn, Mitchell Stidham, and Jody Ridlehoover.

An hour before the service, there will be a visitation.

Swain Funeral Home is in charge of overseeing the funeral plans.
