Carlos Leton Searight Obituary
The identity of the deceased individual discovered on Tuesday in Birmingham’s East Lake neighborhood has been determined. The Birmingham Police Department received a report of a person being shot in the 6800 block of First Avenue South shortly after 3:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found Carlos Leton Searight, a 33-year-old male, unresponsive in the front yard of a residence. Medical personnel at the scene pronounced him deceased.
According to the initial investigation, witnesses passing by noticed his presence and promptly alerted authorities for assistance.
