Palatine Accident – Several ambulances were sent to the scene of a collision that occurred on Thursday morning (May 9) at the intersection of Rand Road and Winslowe Drive in Palatine.
Several unconfirmed accounts suggested that there were four automobiles involved, in addition to eight people, six of whom were transferred to hospitals in the surrounding area, and two of whom refused to be transported.
At approximately eleven in the morning, firefighters originally reported a collision involving two vehicles that had occurred at the intersection, which is situated immediately south of Dundee Road.
At 11:08 in the morning, a third ambulance, one of which was from Arlington Heights, was assigned to evaluate a law enforcement officer.
At eleven twelve o’clock in the morning, a fourth ambulance from Lake Zurich was sent to the scene, and at eleven twenty-seven o’clock, another ambulance from Arlington Heights arrived. Due to the fact that the investigation was still ongoing, the police stated that they were unable to provide any further commentary on the occurrence.
A reporter from the Journal & Topics who was present at the site was informed by a police commander that there was no active threat to the neighborhood. Around twelve o’clock in the afternoon, fire crews evacuated the area.
