Sean Christopher Viator, a beloved sibling, companion, and progeny from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, died on Friday, May 3, 2024, he was 31 years old. According to the obituary released by the family, his ardent affection, imaginative disposition, and tenacity propelled him to extraordinary heights in his profession, where he cultivated a multitude of enduring connections and friendships.
Sean, ever the activist, was an ardent member of dance unions, including SAG-AFTRA, in which he fervently championed the rights of others. In addition to belonging to Bloc Talent Agency, he graduated with honors from DeFrances Academy of Dance.
Sean possessed numerous professional achievements. Among the numerous award-winning artists with whom he collaborated were Demi Levato, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, and Sam Smith.
His dancing appeared on American Idol and the Billboard Music Awards, among other honors and television programs. Over the past several years, Sean has graced the stage with the Radio City Rockettes during the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.
He performed Jubilee at Bally’s and Showstoppers at the Wynn while dancing on stage in Las Vegas. One Drop, a benefit performance he co-hosted at the Mirage with Cirque du Soleil, was another. Sean imparted his fervor and enthusiasm for dance to others through his roles as a choreographer and instructor at the Broadway Dance Center and Millennium Dance Complex.
The Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Resthaven Funeral Home. Visiting hours will run from 12:30 pm until the 2:30 pm memorial services.
