Marco Anthony Portillo Jr Obituary – Archer County Sheriff Jack Curd has officially identified the deceased individual as 31-year-old Marco Anthony Portillo Jr. from Weslaco, Texas.
Portillo was an employee of the Windthorst II Wind Project, owned by EDF Renewables, and was inside the turbine when the tragic incident occurred.
The cause of the fall and the exact height from which he fell remain unknown at this time. Various agencies, such as the Archer County Sheriff’s Office, Air Evac, AMR, and emergency responders from Windthorst, were involved in responding to the initial incident on Wednesday, April 24.
A Justice of the Peace from Archer County arrived at the scene and pronounced Portillo deceased.
