Jessica Nicole Rhea Obituary:
The driver, Tyrone James Guiles, 33, of Lincolnton, was charged with felony death by motor vehicle after a moped passenger was killed in a two-vehicle Gaston County wreck on Tuesday afternoon.
Jessica Nicole Rhea, 39, of Dallas, N.C., was identified as the deceased individual. The collision occurred at approximately 11 a.m. along US-321 near Mile Marker 14.
Guiles, who was driving north on the roadway, allegedly made an “improper lane change” and was subsequently hit by a Jeep.
Both Guiles and Rhea were ejected upon impact and were quickly transported to Caramount Regional Hospital.
Unfortunately, Rhea was pronounced dead upon arrival. Authorities suspect that an impairing substance played a role in the accident. Thankfully, no other injuries were reported.
