Lori Smith Obituary, Death, In Memoriam Of Lori Smith

We are heartbroken to inform you that Lori passed away late last night, on March 15th, 2024. It is with deep regret that we share this news with you. There is no doubt that Mum lived her life to the fullest and never squandered a single moment of it. Her loved ones and the countless friends she had will miss her tremendously and she will be greatly missed by all of them. The “Cheers to Lori” event is scheduled to take place in Paynesville on the 23rd of March, 2024. Additional information is yet to be confirmed.

On Tuesday, Lori Ann Smith, who was 44 years old and lived in Raleigh, passed away at her residence. On Friday, at six o’clock in the evening, there will be a memorial ceremony held at the Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel in Garner. To Winston and Carolyn Yates, Lori Yates was born in the state of Colorado. She was both a mother and a grandmother, and she was a proud daughter. There are four sons who survive her: John Smith and his wife, Julie; Justin Smith, Sr. and his wife Melissa; Eric Evans Jr. and Devon Evans; two daughters, Kameron Smith and his wife, Elizah Moore; Sierra Smith; a brother, Phillip Yates; and three grandchildren, Justin Smith Jr., Jordan Smith, and Jaziah Moore. She is also survived by her sister, Sierra Smith.

Throughout her entire life, Lori’s faith served as a beacon of light. She has been a member of Garris Chapel Church for her entire life there. She occupied a variety of roles and served in any capacity that she was able to. The Lord was the recipient of Lori’s many talents, and she had a strong desire to serve others.

After the passing of her son, Lori started a women’s ministry at the church called WinGS, which stands for Women in God’s Service. This ministry was just recently established. With the support of this ministry, women were able to meet together, talk about their experiences, and hear words of encouragement that would assist them in their daily lives.

In addition to being a blessing to the neighborhood, this mission extended far beyond the confines of Garris Chapel. When Lori was going through a lot of tough times, including the death of her mother and her son, as well as battling with her own illness, her faith became even more essential to her. Not only did she not waver in her religion, but she had a strong desire to assist, inspire, and love everyone around her. All things Girlie was the name of the Facebook page that she launched in April of 2020. On this page, she offers advice on a variety of topics, including shopping, beauty, apparel, and jewelry.

Because she constantly made an effort to appear her best, Lori served as a model for others to follow. Because she enjoyed going shopping and wearing nicely, it was only natural for her to offer advice to other people. Following Carlyle’s passing, this page evolved into a platform for the dissemination of the word of God through devotions and the reading of Scripture.

Through this Facebook page, she was able to accomplish her goal of empowering others, and she did so for a great number of women. Lori’s parents instilled in her the value of family, which she credited with being very important to her.

During her illness, she received assistance from all of her cousins, with whom she had a very close relationship. Having the knowledge that they were always there for Lori and never left her side is a source of comfort for the family. The arrival of her granddaughter, Lyla Dawn, into the world was a momentous day in her life. The time that she was able to spend with her was the most enjoyable, and she took pleasure in the opportunity to learn, adore, and indulge her.

The way that Lori lived her life was a demonstration of her faith, her bravery, and most importantly, her love. In more ways than she was aware, she was a blessing and a source of inspiration. Her life and work will continue to shine as a beacon of hope for so many people.
