Her political involvement reached its pinnacle with the election of her eldest son, Danny Williams, as Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, a position he held from 2003 to 2010.

In 2014, Danny Williams paid a heartfelt tribute to his mother by naming his expansive Galway development after her, a testament to the enduring impact Ter had on his life and endeavors.
A wake has been scheduled for Sunday at Caul’s Funeral Home in St. John’s, providing an opportunity for friends, family, and the community to come together to celebrate Ter’s life and share cherished memories. The funeral mass will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Basilica, allowing loved ones to bid their final farewells.
