LOUIS CLAYTON OBITUARY: BELOVED WINDSOR POLICE OFFICER AND DEVOTED FATHER PASSES AWAY

The Windsor community is mourning the loss of Louis Clayton, a dedicated police officer and cherished friend, who passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024. Louis, affectionately known as “The Kidd,” leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and service to his community.

A devoted father to his two young daughters, Zendaya (2) and Zola (3), Louis was a constant presence in their lives, and his love for them was evident to all who knew him. His girlfriend, Olivia, and his parents also feel the weight of his passing, and our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.

Louis’s sense of humor and ability to connect with everyone he met made him a beloved figure in the Windsor Police Department, where he served with distinction since September 2021. His colleagues respected and admired him for his kindness, empathy, and dedication to serving and protecting the community.

Before joining the police force, Louis served in the United States Army, honing his skills and developing a strong sense of discipline and duty. These values served him well in his role as a police officer, where he was known for his professionalism and compassion.

When not working, Louis enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and had a passion for vehicles. His love for life was contagious, and he had a way of making everyone around him feel seen and heard.

In the wake of Louis’s passing, the Windsor Police Union has set up a GoFundMe account to support his family during this difficult time. The funds raised will be used to cover unforeseen burial costs, additional family expenses, and future tuition costs for his two daughters.

As we say goodbye to this remarkable individual, we take comfort in the memories we shared with him. Louis Clayton may be gone, but his legacy of love, kindness, and service will live on in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, dear Louis. Your sacrifice and dedication to your community will never be forgotten.
