On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, our hearts were unexpectedly touched by the sudden but peaceful passing of a beloved soul, Bernard Alan Whyte, affectionately known as ‘Bernie.’ A man of great love and warmth, Bernie left an indelible mark on the lives of those who were fortunate to know him.
Today, we gather not only to mourn his untimely departure but, more importantly, to celebrate a life that was truly well-lived.
Bernie was not just a name; he was a father, a grandfather, a son, a brother, and a dear friend. He was a source of strength, a pillar of support, and a beacon of love for his family and friends. Born to Jackie and Gordon, Bernie was a cherished son who grew up with the love and guidance of a close-knit family. He was a brother to Garry and Daniel, forming bonds that went beyond blood ties.
