As well as a brother, Waile’a was a kind and entertaining father. The recollections of him throwing boots with glee or recording spontaneous moments with his instrument show his joyous and carefree nature. His love for his family was evident, leaving a lasting legacy. The Aloha Spirit that permeates Hawaiian life was embodied by Wailea Kerr.

Wailea reminded us of the value of community, love, and true human connections in a fast-paced, disconnected society.
