REMAINS FOUND IN PUEBLO WEST CONFIRMED TO BE THOSE OF SANTINO CARDELLA, MISSING COLORADO SPRINGS MAN; FAMILY AND COMMUNITY MOURN THE LOSS OF BELOVED SON, BROTHER, AND FRIEND
Pueblo West, Colorado – The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the remains found in Pueblo West on January 15, 2025, are those of Santino Cardella, a 25-year-old Colorado Springs man who had been missing since December 2024.

Santino Cardella was reported missing by his family on December 20, 2024, after he failed to return home from a trip to Pueblo. His vehicle was found abandoned in Pueblo West, but despite an extensive search effort, Cardella’s whereabouts remained unknown until the discovery of his remains.

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation into Cardella’s disappearance and worked tirelessly to locate him. The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

On January 15, 2025, a hiker discovered human remains in a remote area of Pueblo West. The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office was notified, and detectives responded to the scene to investigate.
