Joseph was born and raised in Kingsport, where he graduated in 2019 from Sullivan North High School. Even as a young man, he exhibited a strong desire to serve others and lead by example.

He attended the Marion Military Institute and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, where his passion for service was evident. The service will celebrate Joseph’s life and the many ways in which he touched the lives of those around him. A military graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024, at Mountain Home National Cemetery, where Joseph will be honored with full military honors by the U.S. Coast Guard.
