BELOVED OKEMOS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL COACH STEVE FINAMORE PASSES AWAY – Okemos School District Confirms Death of Dedicated Coach and Staff Member
The Okemos School District has confirmed the tragic passing of Steve Finamore, a staff member at Okemos High School and coach of the eighth-grade boys basketball team. Finamore’s death was announced on Thursday morning, November 14, but the circumstances surrounding his passing are not yet known.
Finamore was a respected and experienced coach who had previously led the East Lansing boys basketball team for eight seasons, achieving a cumulative record of 128-44 and two consecutive CAAC Blue titles.
