A devastating loss has shaken the community as 66-year-old Robert Sharkevich Sr., a volunteer firefighter with the Wethersfield Fire Department, tragically passed away while fighting a large brush fire. Preliminary investigations indicate that the UTV was navigating a steep, rocky incline in the wooded area when it flipped over, resulting in Sharkevich’s tragic death.
