Roberto Alfonso Rocca, a beloved member of the Midland community and former owner of Rocca’s Hot Dog Shop, passed away on September 30, 2024, at the age of 42. Roberto was renowned for his passion for athletics, cooking, and energetic events that brought people together. As an American Legion Post 481 member and Midland Sportsmen Club member, his enthusiasm extended beyond the stands and into the community.

Roberto’s culinary skills and hospitality at Rocca’s Hot Dog Shop left a lasting impact on the neighborhood. His memory will be cherished by his sisters, Gia Rocca, Renee Grommas (Mark), and Claudine Lambert (Dave), as well as his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. His extended relatives, including Ambrose and Terry Rocca, Ike and Barbra Rocca, Victor and Stacy Rocca, Orlando and Liz Pineda, Alfonso and Susan Pineda, Albert and Terry Pineda, David and Jane Pineda, and Josette and Frank Terrones, played a significant role in his life.

Friends are invited to pay their respects at the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 629 Midland Ave., Midland, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A private blessing service will follow, and Roberto will be laid to rest at Beaver Cemetery. Those who knew Roberto will treasure his attitude, humor, and enthusiasm for life.
