Angelina Ortega Obituary: A Life of Love, Compassion, and Devotion
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Angelina Ortega on August 29, 2024, after a valiant three-month battle with a severe infection.
Surrounded by loved ones, Angelina peacefully departed, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and devotion.
A devoted mother and pharmacy technician, Angelina, 28, leaves behind her two cherished children, a 6-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son, who were the center of her universe.
She worked tirelessly as a pharmacy technician at Market Street until her illness began in early June, and her dream was to become a pharmacist to provide a brighter future for her children.
Despite her health struggles, Angelina remained hopeful and determined, and her compassion and warmth touched countless lives, both within her family and among those she served.
Friends and family fondly remember her as a bright, loving individual whose infectious smile could light up any room, and her passing has left a deep void in the lives of her children, parents, and all who knew her.
In the wake of this unimaginable loss, Angelina’s parents have selflessly stepped in to care for her young children, ensuring they are surrounded by love and support.
A fundraiser organized by family friend Isaiah Roybal has raised $4,300 towards the $5,000 goal to cover funeral expenses, with notable contributions from Mark Zinkula and Isaiah Roybal, and donations continue to pour in from friends, colleagues, and community members.
Funds will also be used to bury Angelina alongside her baby brother, who tragically passed away in 2013 at just six and a half months old.
May Angelina Ortega’s life, marked by love, dedication, and a generous spirit, never be forgotten, and may her memory live on in the joy she brought to those around her, and may her children always feel her presence in their hearts.
