Martin Mull Obituary: Comic actor Martin Mull dies at 80.

Funeral arrangements were still pending on Friday for the esteemed comic actor Martin Mull, who was known for his work on popular television shows such as “Arrested Development,” “Roseanne,” and “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman.” Mull’s daughter, Maggie, announced that her father passed away on Thursday after a long illness. He was 80 years old.

In a heartfelt message on Instagram, Maggie expressed her sorrow over her father’s passing, highlighting his incredible talent across various creative fields and his sense of humor.

She mentioned that he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and even by many dogs, showcasing the impact he had on those around him.

Originally from Chicago, Mull began his entertainment career as a musician and stand-up comedian, showcasing his unique wit and relatable humor.

He gained recognition for his role as a talk show host on “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman,” which led to other successful projects like “Fernwood Tonight” and “America 2-Night.”

Throughout his career, Mull appeared in numerous television shows and films, including memorable roles in “Mr. Mom,” “Mrs. Doubtfire,” and “Clue.” He continued to entertain audiences with his performances in shows like “The Golden Girls,” “The Larry Sanders Show,” and “Roseanne.”
