Devin Paul George, 30, Paramedic and Devoted Hockey Enthusiast, Tragically Passes Away: Family and Friends Mourn the Loss of a Shining Star
Devin Paul George, a bright and compassionate individual, has left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone who knew him. His untimely passing on June 22, 2024, at the age of 30, has sent shockwaves of grief through his community. Devin’s passion for helping others led him to pursue a career as a paramedic, a profession he dedicated himself to with unwavering commitment. Through his work, he touched countless lives, leaving a lasting impact on those he cared for. His selflessness and bravery will never be forgotten.
Aside from his dedication to his work, Devin was an avid sports enthusiast, with a special fondness for hockey. He proudly wore his number 11 jersey during his minor hockey days, a testament to his love for the game. His enthusiasm and energy were contagious, inspiring those around him to embrace life with the same zeal.
Devin is survived by his loving parents, Paul and Kerry-Ann George; brother Garrett; grandparents Joan Hiller and Audrey George; great-grandmother Dora Critch; grandfather Wallace Reid; and dear friend Courtney, among other cherished family members. His absence will be deeply felt by his “sisters and brothers,” a group of close friends he held dear to his heart.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Breakaway Foundation, a program that promotes youth hockey development, healthy lives, and provides opportunities for all children to participate in hockey, regardless of financial circumstances. This tribute will honor Devin’s love for hockey and his commitment to helping others.
Warren’s Funeral Home will handle the funeral arrangements, with visitation scheduled for Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A private celebration of Devin’s life will be held for his immediate family and close friends.
