David Young Obituary – The Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office has officially arrested and charged Terry Houston, 62, in connection with the death of a 72-year-old man from DeRidder.
According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, Houston was taken into custody following the incident. Deputies were called to the scene on Tabernacle Road after a man was found dead in his home.
Upon arrival, they discovered David Young, 72, who had suffered blunt force trauma and stabbing injuries. Through their investigation, authorities identified Houston as a person of interest and detained him for questioning.
After conducting interviews and gathering evidence, deputies determined that Houston had engaged in an altercation with Young, resulting in his death.
Houston has been charged with second-degree murder and obstruction of justice and is currently being held in the Beauregard Parish Jail without bond.
