The Maryland State Police are currently conducting an investigation into a tragic shooting incident that resulted in the death of a 56-year-old man in Elkton on Monday night.
At approximately 9:30 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a shooting at the unit block of Locust Point Road.
Upon arrival, they discovered the victim lying on the ground in a driveway, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The deceased individual has been identified as Christopher Cimorose, a 56-year-old resident of Elkton.
Authorities have revealed that the 911 call reporting the incident was made by the suspect involved, who was subsequently apprehended along with the firearm at the scene.
It has been determined that the victim and the suspect were acquainted, and there is no perceived danger to the general public. The ongoing investigation is being led by the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit.
