Marisa Trapaso Obituary, – The identities of those involved in the fatal crash off Freemans Bridge Road in Glenville on Friday morning were released by the police on Monday. Marisa Trapaso, 39, of Warrensburg, was killed in the crash, according to Police Chief Stephen Janik. Trapaso was a passenger in the vehicle and died at the scene.
The driver was identified as Jonathan Emery, 32, last known of Queensbury. Emery was airlifted to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries that were not life-threatening.
The crash occurred around 8:53 a.m. on Friday near the intersection of Freemans Bridge Road and Maple Avenue.
According to Janik, the car was traveling southbound on Maple Avenue when it crossed into the opposite lane of traffic at Freemans Bridge Road. It then hit a guardrail, overturned, and struck a pole.
The man was trapped in the vehicle, while the woman passed away at the scene, Janik stated. As of Monday, the cause of the crash was still being investigated. While vehicle and traffic charges may be pending, the investigation will continue, Janik added.
