Dr. Samantha Woolery Obituary – The woman who tragically lost her life in a Marietta apartment has been identified as Dr. Samantha Woolery, a first-year surgical resident at the Morehouse School of Medicine.
Dr. Woolery’s body was discovered on Sunday morning when she failed to show up for work. Her co-workers went to her apartment and found her lifeless body, which displayed visible cuts and showed no signs of responsiveness.
Upon receiving the report, the Marietta Police Department promptly initiated an investigation. During their inquiry, they uncovered evidence suggesting that Dr. Woolery was acquainted with her assailant and that the potential suspect had fled the state.
Subsequently, on Monday afternoon, the police department in Carmel, Indiana, apprehended Mickey Anthony Woolery, Dr. Woolery’s 49-year-old ex-husband and primary resident of Indiana.
Mickey Woolery now faces multiple charges, including Felony Murder, Felony Aggravated Assault, Felony Aggravated Battery, Felony Possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime, and Felony Malice Murder.
The Marietta police are currently collaborating with their counterparts in Indiana to facilitate Woolery’s extradition to Georgia.
