Alexander Pollard Death
A collision in the Ross County vicinity on Friday resulted in the death of one man and the hospitalization of another individual.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that a sports utility vehicle was traveling south on U.S. 23 near State Route 207 around 2 p.m. on Friday in Ross County.
The SUV veered off the road, flipped over, and the driver, identified as 22-year-old Alexander Pollard, was ejected from the vehicle.
Officials confirmed that Pollard passed away at the scene, while his passenger was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center with severe injuries.
U.S. 23 was closed for almost three hours after the incident. The Ross County Sheriff’s Office provided assistance with traffic management, and ODOT was present at the location.
The collision is currently being investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
