Body Of Unidentified Woman Found Dead In M’singh Road:
Police recovered the blood-stained body of an unidentified young woman, estimated to be around 22 years old, from the Mymensingh-Kishorganj highway on Friday. The discovery was made in the Jorpukurpar area under Mymensingh’s Nandail upazila early in the morning.
Locals first spotted the body after Fajr prayers, noticing the young woman lying on the road in a black burqa and clean clothes.
Concerned, they immediately informed the authorities. Highway police quickly responded, recovering the body and transporting it to the morgue for further investigation. A local resident, Abdur Rahman, reported that the young woman had come to his house around midnight, seeking shelter. However, being a stranger, he felt uneasy and refused her request.
Nandail Highway Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Azizul Islam stated that the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has been notified to assist in identifying the woman and uncovering the circumstances leading to her death.
This tragic incident has shocked the local community, highlighting the need for vigilance and assistance for individuals in distress.
The police are urging anyone with information that might aid in identifying the woman or understanding the events leading to her death to come forward.
