Daron Davis Obituary
The Massillon Police Department received reports of a late-night shooting at Regal Cinemas, located at 175 Cherry Road NW in Massillon, Ohio, around 11 p.m.
on Friday. Upon arrival, officers discovered the lifeless body of Daron Davis, a 27-year-old resident of Canton, Ohio, near the lobby entrance.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m., an individual was apprehended outside the Massillon Police Department and is currently being considered a suspect in the case. The investigation is still ongoing.
Regal Massillon announced the closure of the theater and the cancellation of all showtimes due to the incident. The safety of patrons and staff is a top priority for Regal Cinemas, as stated in their admittance policy, which prohibits the entry of individuals wearing masks, face paint, or any face-obscuring hoods, as well as those carrying weapons, props, or fake weapons.
