On Thursday, May 9, a tragic incident occurred in Charlotte, North Carolina, where the lifeless body of Olivia Bruce, an 18-year-old high school student, was discovered in a movie theater parking lot.
The Matthews Police Department confirmed this heartbreaking news through a Facebook update.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to a call at the specified location on Rea Road, and unfortunately, they found the deceased female, who had been reported missing to the Matthews Police Department.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into Olivia Bruce’s death, although there is currently no evidence of foul play.
Authorities have been contacted for further information. Aerial footage from WSOC-TV showed the crime scene tape and patrol cars blocking off the parking lot of the Regal Stonecrest at Piper Glen movie theater.
Olivia Bruce was last seen leaving Providence High School on May 7, and the Matthews Police Department provided a description of her appearance and the vehicle she was driving at the time of her disappearance.
The principal of Providence High School, Tracey Harrill, sent a letter to families expressing her deep sadness and offering prayers for Olivia Bruce’s family and friends during this difficult time.
