The woman who was fatally shot by St. Paul officers during a suicide call on Monday has been identified as Pepsi Lee Heinl, 41, of St. Paul. She died from multiple gunshot wounds during the incident on the 1100 block of Rose Avenue East Monday afternoon.

The officers involved in the shooting have been named as Chiking Chazonkhueze, Chee Lao, and Yengkong Lor, with varying years of law enforcement experience.

Police were responding to a report of a suicidal woman at the home. Upon arrival, Heinl pointed a handgun at the officers, prompting them to fire their weapons.

Despite attempts to save her life, Heinl died at the scene. Body camera footage is being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation by the BCA.

Once the investigation is concluded, the findings will be presented to the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office for review. St. Paul City Council members have requested the prompt release of the body cam footage.
