David Terry Obituary – The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office has officially identified one of the individuals who tragically lost their lives in a car collision in Florence.
Deputy David Terry was one of the victims involved in the incident, which occurred at approximately 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
Sheriff Joe Hamilton of Lauderdale County took to social media to confirm the passing of Deputy David Terry. Hamilton revealed that Terry passed away due to injuries sustained in an off-duty car crash.
With a dedicated 26 years of service, Terry had most recently held the position of Director of Corrections. Sheriff Hamilton mentioned that Terry had already completed his retirement paperwork and was scheduled to retire in July. He is survived by his devoted wife and three children.
Furthermore, the Florence Police Department disclosed that a female occupant of the other vehicle also lost her life in the collision. As of now, her identity has not been disclosed.
