Ryan Williams Obituary, Death:
Toronto police’s homicide unit is currently investigating the death of a man who fell from a balcony following an altercation inside a downtown apartment late Wednesday night. Law enforcement officials were summoned to Church and Shuter streets at approximately 11:58 p.m. in response to an unknown trouble call.
According to Det.-Sgt. Henri Marsman, the male victim fell from a height and landed on some scaffolding. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene and the victim was subsequently transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Ryan Williams. Prior to the fall, an altercation occurred inside the unit where Williams lived with his mother. The circumstances surrounding the victim’s fall are still under investigation, with authorities treating the incident as a homicide.
The suspect, known by the street name “Justice,” is being sought by investigators. Described as a male between 30 and 40 years old, standing between five-foot-eight and five-foot-nine, the suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, beige pants, and black shoes.
The suspect and victim were described as “casual acquaintances,” with the suspect fleeing the apartment alongside three other individuals after the fall. These three individuals are also being sought as persons of interest in the case.
The first person of interest is a five-foot-ten male wearing a black jacket, a grey shirt, dark grey sweatpants, and black shoes with white soles. The second person of interest is a five-foot-six female with a thin build, brown hair in a high bun, wearing black pants with white accents, red shoes with white soles, and pulling a grocery trolley bag.
The third person of interest is believed to be a five-foot-five female with a thin build and dark hair, wearing a black jacket with a white toque, black pants, and black shoes. Marsman emphasized that this incident appears to be isolated.
