The police assured that this incident is isolated, and there is no danger to the public.
The Springdale Police Department (SPD) is currently probing a shooting incident near the vicinity of 4401 South Thompson St., resulting in the death of two individuals and injury of two others.
According to a statement released by SPD, officers were summoned to the area in response to a report of gunshots around 10:50 p.m. on April 24.
Upon arrival, officers discovered four individuals suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene.
At the scene, one man, identified as 20-year-old Elgin Guidry, was pronounced dead.
Later, SPD identified another victim, 19-year-old Lyric Bewley, who succumbed to her injuries after being transported to a nearby hospital.
Another 19-year-old woman, whose condition remains unknown, was also taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Additionally, a fourth individual sustained minor injuries and was treated and subsequently released from the hospital.
