Jean I. (Simpson) Lambert Obituary, Cherished Member of Hughesville, Pennsylvania, Has Passed Away

Jean I. (Simpson) Lambert, a much-loved resident of Hughesville, Pennsylvania, passed away at the age of 81. We regret to inform you of her passing. Jean passed away at Danville’s Geisinger Medical Center on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Jean, beloved daughter of Lloyd and Bessie (Peet) Simpson, came into this world in Sayre, Pennsylvania on November 7, 1942. Even as a little girl, Jean shone a light on the lives of those around her, and her kindness and generosity warmed the hearts of everyone she met.

Resilience, determination, and unfaltering love were hallmarks of Jean’s journey. Her perseverance and focus throughout her academic career were evident when she earned her diploma from Canton High School in 1960. Jean set out on a path of lifelong learning and self-improvement after she graduated.

Jean was an incredibly caring person in many roles throughout her life. Above all else, she treasured her family and found happiness in the little things they did together. Those lucky enough to have known Jean were won over by her kindness, generosity, and steadfast support.

Serving others and making a positive impact in her community were two of Jean’s greatest passions, alongside her family. Her generosity was boundless, and she never hesitated to help those less fortunate.

Many lives were touched by Jean, whether it was through her selfless volunteer work, encouraging words, or even just her smile. The dear moments spent together and the love that bonded Jean’s loved ones will always be treasured in their memories of her. Even though Jean’s physical form is no longer with us, her memory will endure in the people she touched.

As we celebrate Jean’s life and legacy, may we always keep in mind the generosity, kindness, and compassion she offered to all people. We pray that her life’s lessons in purpose, honesty, and love will be an inspiration to those of us who knew her, and that her memory will bring comfort to those who mourn her loss.

At a later time, Jean I. (Simpson) Lambert’s family will announce the funeral arrangements. While we grieve her passing, let us also remember and honor Jean for the life she lived and the difference she made in the world. We pray that she finds peace in her passing, knowing how much she meant to those who knew her.
