Rossview High School in Clarksville, Tennessee is in mourning for one of its own, Cam Ward. Cam was a gifted basketball player, and he tragically passed away while pursuing his passion.
A Tragic Event
The community, as well as Cam Ward’s family and friends, were shocked by his unexpected passing. Although the cause of his death is still unknown, it is known that Cam had a seizure and then heart failure when he fell while playing basketball.
A Community in Mourning
Those who knew Cam best have expressed their sorrow and support in response to news of his passing. Board member for Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools Aron Maberry offered prayers and condolences to the Rossview High Hawks community as well as Cam’s family during this trying time.
Fond Memories Shared
Cam’s influence was felt well beyond the hoops court. In addition to reminiscing about their time spent together, Cam’s coach and mentor also reflected on his distinct personality and the joy he brought to everyone around him. From his remarkable athletic ability to his contagious enthusiasm, Cam will be cherished as a once-in-a-lifetime person who had a profound impact on numerous lives.
