An individual who was armed with a knife attacked a man while he was on a train in the south-eastern region of London. According to the police, the victim was transported to the hospital with injuries that were considered to be life-threatening, and a manhunt for the suspect was now underway.
The graphic video of the incident, which took place on a train close to Beckenham Junction just before 4 o’clock in the afternoon, was rapidly disseminated across various social media platforms.
A man disguised in a hood and wearing a face mask can be seen in the video lunging toward another individual who is lying on the ground while holding a huge knife. There is a rider who can be heard yelling “Stop it now” before saying, “I’m on the train to Beckenham Junction and this man is stabbing someone on the train.” This passenger appears to be phoning the police.
It was described as a “very serious assault” by Steve White, who is the managing director of Southeastern Railway. He went on to say, “We are providing assistance to the police in their efforts to gather evidence.” The police are pleading with witnesses to come forward with their information. As the two guys were boarding the train at Shortlands station, the police reported that they had not made any arrests and that they had been fighting with each other.
According to Southeastern Railway, there is now a disruption in the services that are being provided between Shortlands and Victoria via Herne Hill. “Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was seriously injured at Beckenham Junction today,” said a representative for the British Transport Police. “The incident occurred today.”
