This morning, we received the devastating news of Jolene Blom’s demise. We were devastated to hear of her death since she was a co-founder of our company. Everybody was shocked to hear that she had passed away. The reality that we have no choice except to accept this situation hits us hard.
Those of us who were lucky enough to have known her will miss her dearly since she was an amazing friend and a fantastic guide to everyone. The entire staff at Blom Real Estate will miss her greatly because she was not only an advisor but also a close friend. To everyone who has been personally touched by this tragic incident, our warmest sympathies are with you.
Tragically, we share your grief. Her impeccable character and outstanding leadership will live on in our memories; we will be forever grateful to her. A memorial service will be conducted at the graveside in the Kenesaw Cemetery at a later date. In remembrance of the departed, the gathering will take place. As suggested, memorials should be decided upon at a later date and the family should be notified of this decision.
The family has entrusted Apfel Funeral Home with the responsibility of making all necessary funeral arrangements. On July 29, 1957, in the Nebraska town of Beatrice, she was welcomed into this world by her parents, Roland and Eldeen (Riese) Drake. She came into this world in 1957.
She graduated from high school in 1975 in Kearney, Nebraska, after spending her formative years in the Nebraska town of Beatrice. The high school she had attended awarded her a diploma. She spent her whole working life as an employee of the Burlington Northern Railroad, where she eventually became an engineer.
Jolene has been clean and sober for almost twenty years, which is like adding salt to injury. In the aftermath of Jolene’s death, her sister Shirley (David) Carpenter and brothers Whitney Drake are the sole surviving relatives. Still living as well is Whitney Drake, Jolene’s daughter. Whitney Drake is the sister of Jolene.
It was after she had breathed her last that her parents had gone away. Their reappearance eluded her. A little pink house on Spring Lake was decided upon by Jules and Shari while he was still in the midst of starting his career at NorthWest Airlines.
This choice was made while Jules was just starting out in his professional life. Nestled between the two communities, Spring Lake is situated in the center of Jordan and Prior Lake. His kids showed him the ropes when it came to fishing, and he always pushed them to be adventurous and self-reliant when it came to the sea. He found immense joy in playing the part of “lake dad,” passing on his fishing skills to his children.
Even while he encouraged his kids to enjoy themselves at the lake, he hoped they would learn to be independent thinkers who could solve problems on their own. He hoped they would always be able to find a way out of sticky situations.
He considered these years to be the most pleasant of his life, even though he was often complaining about the endless work that came with living by the lake. Those years were the most fun he had ever had, in his opinion.
