Our good friend and colleague, Mr. John Stanley, passed away not long ago, and we hate to notify you of his passing. Sharing this fantastic news with you is something we do with a heavy heart. The administration, faculty, and student body of Wavecrest Primary School would like to express their deepest sympathies to his loved ones at this difficult time.
As you and your loved ones face this difficult time, please know that you are not alone. You and your loved ones are in our thoughts and prayers. He succumbed to his illness after a brief battle at Blanchardstown’s Connolly Hospital.
He passed away at the age of 81. respected spouse of Laurie and the late Ethel; beloved paternal figure to all his offspring; esteemed maternal figure to Sheila, Colm, John, Jim, Thomas, Emily, and Eileen; beloved paternal figure to all his offspring. His priests Pat and Jim had already departed before he went, as had his sister Eileen, brothers Liam and Noel, and himself. His death came at the end of his family’s mourning period. He leaves behind a large circle of loved ones who will mourn his passing: his devoted wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Sam, Mary, and Pearl, as well as his sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, and a large number of friends.
Many of his friends will also miss him greatly. I hope you find peace. On Sunday afternoon, between four and seven o’clock, he will be taking a break at his son Colm’s house. Transport of the body will take place on Monday afternoon to Castleknock’s Church of Our Lady Mother of the Church, where it will be welcomed for the Requiem Mass at one o’clock. At the Mass, we will remember and honor the life of the departed. The chosen site for the burial is Confey Cemetery in Leixlip. No one other than immediate family members may send flowers. Mr. Stanley, a resident of Handcross Road, was severely injured in the attack and later died from complications related to his injuries. Jurors at the Luton Crown Court found Ward guilty of manslaughter during the course of the proceedings.
For the murder, he is set to get his punishment the following month. The decision allowed Mr. Stanley’s family to “take some comfort” in the aftermath of the investigation, according to Detective Inspector Jerry Waite of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit.
