We would like to take this opportunity to extend our appreciation to the Hillsborough High School Girls Varsity volleyball team for the remarkable achievement they have displayed throughout the course of the season by presenting them with a proclamation.
During the meeting of the Township Committee that took place on January 23, the proclamation was delivered to the group that was concerned about the outcome of the situation. In attendance during the conference was the Mayor of the city, Robert Britting Jr.
Because of their amazing performance, the team not only advanced to the semifinals of Group Four, but they also won the title of Somerset County Champions for the year 2023. This accomplishment was made possible by the fact that they earned the title.
They finished the season with a perfect record of 10-0 in all of their games, which made them the top team in the league. They had a perfect record the entire season.
“The Mayor and the Hillsborough Township Committee, do hereby commend the 2023 Hillsborough High School Girls Varsity Volleyball Team, Coach Iaione, and parents, not only for their successful season but for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the sport and to those principles of good sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic achievement which the organization endorses,” in accordance with the proclamation that was issued by the municipality in question.
