Donnie Peterson Obituary, Death, Learn More About Donnie Peterson

The fact that I am posting this is accompanied by a tremendous lot of regret. The disappearance of our father, who was our idol and the very first guy that any of us ever loved, occurred yesterday evening. Each and every one of us is in complete and utter shock.

While we are working our way through this difficult time, we would like you to know that we are thankful for your prayers throughout this process. His beloved wife Lynne, to whom he had been married for 53 years, his son and daughter-in-law Adam and Rachel, his grandkids Carter and Nolan, and his nephews Josh and Richard O’Hagan are among the people who are grieving his departure.

He had been married to Lynne for 53 years. They all passed away before he took his own life, including his grandmother and grandfather, Paul and Grace, as well as his sister Cathy and grandson JellyBean. A guy who was always searching beyond the horizon for the next adventure, Don was a person who was outgoing and adventurous. In his life, he was always eager to try new things and experiences. In addition to his unshakable dedication to his family, he developed friendships with the people he met on his countless excursions over the years that would last a lifetime. These friendships proved to be invaluable to him personally.

In addition to a good bourbon, he placed a significant amount of importance on reading, traveling, and sports. Not only did he spend his entire life coaching track and field and playing a variety of racquet sports, such as pickleball and squash, but he also spent his entire life playing, coaching, and watching football.

The track and field squad was also under his coaching. He could be found, when he was not engaging in sports, either on vacation with his family and loved ones or lounging on the front porch with a good drink and a book in his hand. Both of these activities were extremely enjoyable for him.

The simple act of being in close proximity to his family and witnessing the growth of his grandchildren was something that he always recognized and valued, regardless of the location he was in.

Those who were close to him, including his friends and loved ones, will miss him terribly. We would like to convey our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Knight and his oncology team at the Grand River Cancer Centre, who not only helped him endure his battle with cancer for a longer period of time but also gifted him with the opportunity to spend more time with his loved ones and create more memories with them.

The cremation of this individual has taken place. The Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, which can be found at 171 King Street South in Waterloo, will be the location of a Celebration of Life that will take place on Saturday, January 13, from one to three o’clock in the afternoon. Through the route that has been provided, you have the opportunity to offer your sympathies to the family as well as make monetary contributions to either the Grand River Cancer Centre or KidsAbility.
